And here’s the third edition of the Slaughter festival of good horror and heavy metal!

Some say, “Third time’s the charm.” Maybe, although luck doesn’t have much to do with what we’re doing here, against all calculation and reason. Well, a little luck never hurts, but what you get at Doljevac’s Klanica is, above all, the fruit of knowledge and effort. And, above all, enthusiasm.

As is fitting for each subsequent edition of the festival to be increasingly better and crazier, this year we are preparing a spectacle for you in the film program, including several absolutely essential, rare films that you can only see at the festival and nowhere else. Exclusivity is an important aspect of this program: in addition to titles that passed through cinemas unnoticed and without any fanfare, or were not even announced as horrors, every year we also offer you several exclusive premieres. This year, we are proud to have secured the screening of the film *Substance*, which recently won the Palme d’Or for Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival. Two years ago in Cannes, the Palme d’Or for Best Film was awarded to *Titane*, with strong horror elements, which we are now showing you as a reminder of the increasing acceptance of horror by the mainstream.

David Lynch was also celebrated multiple times in Cannes, which is why we are organizing “A Tribute to David Lynch” and screening his cult films *Eraserhead* and *Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me*, whose magic younger audiences at Slaughter will be able to experience for the first time on the big screen.

There are also two brand new Serbian feature films with horror elements: *Working Class Goes to Hell* by director Mladen Đorđević and *Videoteka* by Luka Bursać. Who says horror in Serbia is dead? There’s never been more inspiration!
